PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Sub Slab Venting Remediation/Methane
PROJECT HISTORY: ACV Enviro was recently awarded a contract with a corporation that developed a former major manufacturing plant into a mega-warehouse used by a large online retail company as a fulfillment center. Historical operations at the former manufacturing plant resulted in environmental contamination of shallow soil and groundwater, sufficient that some areas yield flammable methane gas. The construction of the company’s mega-warehouse, which is approximately two football fields wide by six football fields long, included over eighty methane degassing risers distributed throughout the facility as well as over three dozen methane detectors.
ACV ENVIRO SOLUTION: We continue to monitor the methane risers on a quarterly schedule to measure for the presence of methane, as well as provide quarterly calibration of the methane detectors. The monitoring and calibration services include the use of man lifts with heights-trained and qualified staff. Emergency Response services are also included. If a methane detector is alarmed, we provide first response services to assess for the need for mitigation that may include emergency ventilation using two new methane removal extraction systems.
